About
Mohammad Zahalqa
I AM A DANCER.
I’m Mohammed Zahalqa, a Palestinian dancer, choreographer, and teacher with a deep passion for sharing my cultural heritage through dance. Since my early teens, I’ve been dedicated to the art of dabke, progressing from a young student to a leading choreographer and instructor. My journey began in 2013 with the Naqsh Popular Art Center, where I quickly advanced to become the first under-18 member of the Naqsh Popular Art Troupe. By 2017, I was entrusted with teaching, guiding over 1,000 students from ages 5 to 24, and was responsible for directing our annual shows, each of which attracted over 5,000 attendees.
Over the years, I’ve performed internationally in more than 100 shows, bringing Palestinian dance to audiences worldwide. In 2020, I was honored to become the primary choreographer for the Naqsh Troupe, an experience that has refined my skills in both artistic direction and cultural storytelling through movement.
In addition to my performance work, I’ve taught dabke dance at the Arab American University, where I also pursued studies in business administration. This background has given me a unique perspective, merging artistic passion with strategic insight, which I bring to all my projects.
